![]() ![]() In my classroom, we are not striving for perfection, we are working together to find a positive means of expression and as a result making lots of cool stuff. My goal is to make the art classroom a fun and safe environment where kids feel that they can express themselves, experiment, make mistakes, and make messes using the art supplies! I try very hard to incorporate as many art techniques in my classroom as possible throughout the year so that the kiddos all find something that they really enjoy doing. I graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's degree in Education and minor in Fine Arts, go dawgs! I am a Katy native and was a student of KatyISD from 2001-2012 and this will be my 7th year teaching in Katy! :) ![]() My name is Shelby Nolte, and I cannot wait to begin my 3nd year of teaching at Shafer Elementary. This is going to be an amazing year and I can’t wait to greet everyone on the first day of school! I also enjoy watching my daughters and students play sports. In my free time, I love to exercise, shop, travel, hunt and hang out with my family and friends. My goals daily are creating a safe environment, establishing relationships and encouraging students to live a healthy lifestyle while having fun. because I not only get to teach every single student at Shafer, but also get to play with them and have fun all day. I returned to teaching at Shafer when my youngest started Kindergarten. I then decided to be a stay at home mom to raise my three daughters. ![]() I began my teaching career in First grade for 3 years. My husband, Troy, and I have been married for almost 24 years. I graduated from Texas A&M University (whoop!) in 1998 with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. My name is Lisa Madrigal and this will be my 10th year of teaching Physical Education at Shafer Elementary. ![]()
